It was an honour back in January to be invited by the Scottish Office, Dublin, to participate in their Burns Night Supper. It was a rare treat to witness the parading of thr haggis, to enjoy perfromances by some fine musicians and to savour some rich Scottish fare along with a dram or two of Glenfiddich. And it was a special privilege, of course, to deliver the traditional 'Immortal Memory' address 'tae the Bard' toward the end of such a wonderul evening. My thanks to Sharon McMeel and Katy McNeil and all at the Scottish Office for producing a truly special occasion that will live long in the memory.
