Reading at the White House Bar, Limerick

What a joy to return as guest reader to Limerick’s First Wednesday Poetry Series, a long running institution in the city that is now back to full strength after a brief layoff during the pandemic. Still running in the exquisite White House Bar, though now in a dedicated downstairs performance  space, this is an event with a unique charm and such a relaxed and supportive atmosphere. It was great to meet old friends like Edward and Joe and to be reminded of departed ones like Baney and Bertha. It was a pleasure to read before such a welcoming and knowledge audience in a space where I first performed more than 20 years ago!  My thanks to Dominic, D’or and all the team for such a special night!
