What a joy to read once again at West cork Literary Festival, an event that over the years has brought so many great memories to so many Irish writers. It was a sepcial pleasure not only

to share the stage with firends and colleagues Molly Twomey and Dean Browne, but also to perform in the unique surrounds of Bantry House, a site bathed in grandeur and history. My thanks to the inimitable Mike Ryan for his polished and innovative compering and as always to the tireless Eimear O'Herlihy and her team for putting such an extraordinary week together.
