It was a thrill this week to receive my contributor's copies of the Summer 2026 Bulletin from the Poetry Book Society, where my nnw collection Render is featured. It's an honour to appear alongside Linda Anderson, James Byrne, Kym Deyn and Martina Evans, whose Drunken Driving is this season's PBS Choice.
Also present are the wonderful Patricia Smith, who receives a special commendation for The Intentions of Thunder: New and Selected Poems, and Martha Sprackland, whose Dark Night by St John of the Cross is translation choice. Ella Duffy & Adam Horovitz, meanwhile ,are this summer's pamphlet pick for their most intruiging Rock, Paper Scissors.
Victoria Kenenfick one of this season's selectors (along with Fred D'Aguiar, Leo Boix, Alycia Pirmohamed and Yousif M. Qasmiyeh) has this to say about Render:
Render is undeniably sophisticated, expertly conceived and brillaintly executed but it also. conatins the brutal and bitterswweet truth amongst the fiction, that the human condition is an unforgiving one-- where we fee, as people and as artists, that we are jsut getting strated when our time is up.
My thanks to all at the PBS for producing such a stylish and sopisticated publcioation in which it is a privilege to be featured!
